Dragon Common Sense

Dragons don’t trust many people and they rarely let people close.  The reasons are based on philosophy and physicality. First, they have a very definitive ethics and integrity about taking people as they find them. With keen eyesight and good ears, they observe whether or not other creatures do what they say.  For the dragon, consistent conduct is measurable.  Experiential observation offers them exceptional instinct and intuition about people, often predicting others behavior before it occurs.   Also, being that they have a tough exterior for self production, they are conscientiously concerned such seasoned defensive mechanisms will hurt others.  As a species, dragons also have a long history of people cozying up to them to gain treasure or wisdom and then these people turning around to steal from them, stab them in the heart or wound them where it hurts or simply abandoning them without a word.  Blue dragons in particular are highly communicative creatures, fully capable seeing the three sides of any issue—the dragon’s, yours and the balanced middle-ground.

Little Known Facts…

Generally, dragons don’t like to be touched without their permission.  Likely, humans feel the same way about their personal boundaries. After all, how do you react to being pawed or petted like an animal?  Dragons safeguard close proximity for only the closest of companions.  They will make a big stink about being hugged or attempted to be touched by complete strangers from whom they most definitely do not want in their comfort zone.  And when they do, rest assured that the person to whom they express this frustration the most often is the very person from whom they know within the depth of their soul they would most likely accept a deep, long squeeze.

Dragons are warm blooded, making them particularly good to snuggle with on a cold night, should you have earned their trust to be their  Master or  Muse, honors they don’t just bestow on just anyone…as these people come along only once in a life time.
